酒は悪魔である。
「酒は百薬の長」という言葉もあるが、それは方便であろう。
適量を守らなければ悪魔であることに違いはない。
私の母方の祖父というのが酒が好きな人で、その上地方議員なんぞをやっていた。
となればだいたい想像はつくと思うのだが、必ず飲んで帰ってくる。
時には吐く。
大声で説教が始まる。
家族は大迷惑。
そしてどうなったか？
ある日卒中を起こして寝たきりになり、そのまま数年後に逝った。
今度は母方の祖母の兄の話である。
とりあえずその１、その２といる（いた）のだが、まずはその２のほうから。
この人も酒好きであったが、ある晩飲みすぎて路上で寝てしまい、クルマに轢かれて死んだ。
私とはウマの合う人だったのに、惜しい人を亡くした。
その１のほうは存命であるが、最近酔っ払って自宅の階段から転げ落ち、障害を持つようになってしまった。
以上、酒の話。
それでも飲みたきゃ、飲んで死ねば？
