集英社文庫に太宰の「人間失格」がラインナップされているのは
別に問題じゃない。
なぜ、よりにもよって表紙が小畑健なのか？が問題だ。
……理由はわからないでもないが。
この小説、読んだのはたぶん学生時代、いや、
昭和の世であったかもしれない。
主人公の心の有り様に、こいつはオレか？と驚愕した記憶がある。
はっきり言うが、今この小説を読んでいられるほど精神的な余裕はない。
ちなみに太宰はこの作品を書いて後、
昭和23年6月13日に玉川上水にて入水自殺した。
